Introducing the Balabonnet — a playful fusion of a balaclava and a bonnet, hand-knitted in joyful colors and soft, sculptural texture. Designed to frame the face gently and flow into a scarf-like shape you can tie or wrap your way, the Balabonnet brings warmth, comfort, and a touch of whimsy to winter dressing. Each piece is carefully created by me in my studio I Copenhagen, made to keep you cozy while adding color and character to cold days.
How to style it:
Wear it your way - (short version): Tied neatly under the chin for a soft, bonnet-like silhouette, or (long version): Wrapped once around your neck for a snug, layered look.
Let the scarf ends hang loose for a more effortless vibe, or tuck them in for extra warmth.
The bold stripes stand out beautifully against your coat or jacket and add a joyful pop of color to even the coldest days.

The Balabonnet combines the warmth of a balaclava, the charm of a bonnet, and the versatility of a scarf — made for cozy days, color lovers, and those who like a touch of play in their winter wardrobe.
The Balabonnet is created in my studio in Copenhagen. It is a result of years of experimenting with different knitting techniques, yarn qualities and a investigation of the relationship between colors and hues.
Material: 78% kid mohair, 13% merino wool and 9% polyamide to hold the fluff in place, merino wool and kid mohair and silk. All yarns are hand dyed in Denmark making every skein of yarn unique.
Please note:
This is a hand knitted design therefore irregularities will occur. This is valued highly and it is part of the expression. Hand knitted designs are delicate and will give ease around your face and neck with time.
Colours are not easily presented correctly in a photo. The colours may vary slightly from what you experience here on the website.
Take good care of your Mohair Bubble Bala Cape and air it when possible. If you need to wash it, do it gently by hand in cold water with detergent for wool and delicate fabrics. Do not stretch when wet and dry flat in the shape of the design.
Please store carefully with plenty of space.
